WVU Academic Innovation is seeking an Instructional Designer for a 1-year grant funded position to develop highly-engaging online K-12 educational experiences. The instructional designer will work closely with media designers to create and develop interactive online courses using sound instructional practices. This work will be conducted to support K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiatives. Candidates must have the ability to translate high school content into engaging online experiences that maintain a high degree of student interest and achieve the educational goals of the course. The ideal candidate will show strong initiative, exceptional communication skills and have the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
A Master’s Degree is required in instructional design, web-design, or related field; or any equivalent combination of job related experience and/or education. Driver’s License also required.
