The Department of Biochemistry at West Virginia University is currently recruiting for a Sr. Research Specialist position within the laboratory of Dr. Roberta Leonardi.  The selected candidate will be responsible for managing mouse colonies, analyzing metabolic phenotypes and conducting biochemical assays.  Prior demonstrated experience in these areas along with experience with cloning, protein expression and purification, cell culture and transfection is a requirement for consideration of the position.  In addition, a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field in the basic sciences with a minimum of two years of related experience or applicants with an equivalent combination of education and experience is required for this position.  Candidates with a PhD and greater than 3 years of direct experience are encouraged to apply and will be given top priority.
