Academic Innovation, iDesign, is searching for an Electronic Classroom Specialist to provide on-demand technical consulting to faculty utilizing classroom technology instruction.   The primary responsibilities of this position include: customer service, the ability to conduct time-critical analysis to identify and solve complex operational problems and maintain detail records of repair, maintenance, training and performance standards.  The individual will oversee a variety of complex systems, including, but not limited to multimedia and instructional technology to provide reliable, effective and efficient operation of WVU’s 100+ classroom technology systems and equipment.

Requirements:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of university personnel.  Demonstrated ability to evaluate and quickly resolve technical issues across hardware, software, networking, multimedia and audiovisual systems. In depth knowledge of various types of software installed within WVU’s classrooms, ranging from general office software and web browsers to educational specific software utilized within various disciplines.

Education/experience requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of job related experience and/or education.  A minimum of one year work experience in technology support is required. Since this position may respond to electronic classroom needs across both the downtown and Evansdale campuses a driver’s license is required.
