Student Systems Management in the Division of Enrollment Management at West Virginia University is seeking to hire a Systems Developer (Professional Technologist 3.132). Student Systems Management is responsible for the administration and management of the University’s student information system, including numerous integrated and interfaced systems, which provide mission-critical services to faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and vendors. This position is a member of a team of developers focused on delivering business value to Financial Aid, Facilities Scheduling, the Office of Student Accounts, and the Office of the University Registrar.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent field of study is preferred. The candidate will also possess 2 years experience using a Unix/Linux operating system; 3 years experience using SQL and/or PL/SQL to interact with complex Oracle databases; 3 years experience using C, PRO*C and/or Java to develop programs which interact with complex databases; 4 years experience designing, programming, deploying and supporting complex web applications; and 4 years experience designing, programming, deploying and supporting applications for an enterprise system with multiple integrated systems.
