West Virginia University Dining Services is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director. The chosen candidate will work with the Director of Dining services to oversee the operation of Retail departments within Dining Services at West Virginia University. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist the director in the development of the overall strategic plan for retail departments within Dining Services, Compose and promulgate the development of policies and procedures, develop/submit/administer the total food service budget, assist the director in all activities involved with retail operations, act as the liaison between Dining Services and its franchise partners, assist in the support of WVU regional campuses, and assist in directing training/marketing/professional development for dining services.
The Successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Food Service, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts/Services, or related field. A Master’s Degree/MBA is strongly preferred. A minimum of six (6) years management experience in food service systems that include the management of budgets, personnel dining programs, and customer service is required. Additionally, a minimum of six (6) years retail operational experience, Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience, and food service management experience in a college/university setting are preferred. The successful candidate must also possess a valid driver’s license due to various travel requirements to both on and off campus locations.
