The School of Public Health of West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a part-time, benefits eligible Director of Development.  The director will be responsible for generating gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.  In consultation with the Dean of the School of Public Health, the incumbent will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive development plan to reach the school’s strategic goals and support the university’s ongoing capital campaign.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in development with a history of successful major gift solicitations.  This position requires strong organizational, written and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.  The successful candidate will possess a high level of integrity and leadership skills, the ability to work successfully with a variety of constituents and understanding of major gift principles.  This position requires the ability to travel and undertake regular weekend and evening work.  Please see the job description for a complete list of requirements and duties.
