Believing that “dreams don’t retire,” SRMountaineer Temps
challenges the conventional notion of retirement as a time for withdrawal and inactivity.
Instead, through the SRMountaineer Temps program, retired staff and faculty with
successful careers at WVU re-engage with the University to make a difference in new
ways, continue the learning process, and remain active.
Health care professionals
are increasingly promoting awareness of the benefits among retirees of continuing
physical, mental and social activity for healthy aging.
The vision of SRMountaineer Temps is to contribute to a first-class multi-generational
workforce by creating a talent bank of retirees to meet the short-term staffing
needs of the University in support of its teaching, research, and service programs.
