Summary:

Responsible for receiving, storing, and dispersing all products.  Responsible in assisting or ordering food and nonfood products.  Assists with student workers. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

Receives, inspects, stores, all supplies ordered for delivery to Dining Services’ Chick-Fil-A retail operation. Assists with the placement of most orders to vendors.  Checks invoices Against purchase orders making sure forms match.  Makes any mathematical changes needed. 

Loads and unloads all products for the Retail unit at the Mountainlair for the Chick-Fil-A operation for Dining Services.

Supplies production areas with all products needed for daily operation and supplies products for special meals and catering events.

Checks records for correct procurement card numbers.  Compares price list for placing orders with appropriate vendors.  Writes purchase orders, calling in orders by phone and/or faxing, issues stock from computer inventory.  Makes necessary copies of receiving forms and forwards them to Student Affairs Business Office.  Maintains set inventory.

Oversees student workers assisting the Material Handler.  Assists production staff as time demands.

Assists with the setup and the tearing-down of events as needed.  Small maintenance to kitchen equipment i.e. changing light bulbs.

Other duties as assigned such as but, not limited to, assisting with other Retail Operations in the Mountainlair

Qualifications:

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D. required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

6-12 months of food handling experience including receiving and inventory activities.

This position requires the following:

  • Background Check
  • Food Handlers card issued by the Monongalia County Health Department must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
  • Physical Demands
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.  Able to lift 50 – 70 pounds.
