WVU Academic Innovation is seeking an Interactive Media Designer for a 1-year grant funded position to develop highly-engaging online K-12 educational experiences.
The Interactive Media Designer will work closely with Instructional Designers to design, create, and develop interactive online content and courses using a wide range of digital media including audio, video, graphics, and digital photography. This work will be conducted to support K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiatives. This position requires a positive, energetic individual with strong organization and interpersonal skills, who has the ability to make independent decisions. The incumbent must have excellent leadership skills that can lead projects, as well as delegate tasks to individuals on the team.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Suggested fields of study include digital media, interactive design, information design, graphic design, web design, or related field. Two years of experience in using course management tools, website development, interactive digital content development and instructional multimedia graphic design and deployment a must. Driver’s License also required.
